Honolulu Home Remodeling Contract Tips

If you are remodeling a home in Honolulu, be sure to use licensed a licensed contractor and/or sub-contractors and be sure to have a contract that spells out the terms of service. The Realtor Journal had a recent article that gave a good list of the items a contract should include. Any Good News Is Good!

We have endured a great deal of bad news since the beginning of the economic mess in which we now find ourselves. It was good to read in Pacific Business News that Hawaii has had an increase in the number of people employed by in the technology business. I think this is the type of job growth we need as it is high paying, clean and can keep our best and brightest home in Hawaii. As for its impact on our real estate market, it can do nothing but expand the pool of qualified buyers for our homes.
“The number of employees in Hawai’i’s high-technology industry increased by 0.8 percent in 2007 from a year earlier, according to a survey being released today.”

US Supreme Court Decision on Hawaiian Ceded Lands

A much-awaited decision on the State’s ability to sell any of the ceded lands that were grant to the State when Hawaii entered the United States in 1958 has been handed down.
