National Pending Sales Good For Honolulu Home Sellers

Forbes is reporting that the National Association of Realtors has seen a significant increase in the number homes and condo’s that have been put under contract, but have not yet closed.
“The National Association of Realtors says its seasonally adjusted index of sales agreements rose 6.4 percent from July to 103.8. It was the highest since March 2007 and 12 percent above a year ago. Economists surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected the index would rise to 98.6.” CLICK HERE TO READ THE ENTIRE POST.
In Honolulu, I have seen an anecdotal increase in properties with accepted contracts (active continue to show-ACS and pending sales). This increase in ACS and pending sales means that it is harder to find good properties to show motivated buyers. Depending on the specific market information related to your home, if you have been thinking about selling, this might be a good time to do so.
