I could have told you this, but BusinessWeek did the work to confirm it (as reported in Pacific Business News).
“BusinessWeek picked one town and two runners-up for each of the 50 states. To compile the list, BusinessWeek used towns that have at least 45,000 residents and a median income of between $40,000 and $125,000. Categories that were analyzed included school performance, number of schools, household spending, crime rates and others.”
